Community Update 43
Can you believe it’s already Christmas? We certainly can’t! This week’s newsletter is a Christmas Eve special and hosts some exciting product updates, networking opportunities and even your chance to grab a special Zash NFT for free! Check out whats going on below ⬇️
Zash NFT Airdrop!📱
We had such an exciting turn out last week at our first Zash social, and a few of you even tried out our app. The app so far has been in invite-only mode with a small number of early testers.
For Christmas only, we have decided to open up the gates to our app for everyone in our community till the end of Boxing Day, with 3 Diamond tickets to invite your friends and family. After boxing day it will all close again. Download the app now! 👇
Remember, the app is only open to everyone until Boxing Day!
And because we just LOVE Christmas, all users who download our app will get airdropped their very own ERC-721 Zash NFT (and a chance to vote on the Zash spirit animal inside the app!).
Don’t forget to add your wallet address during sign up, and vote. If you haven’t got one already, you can easily create one on Metamask.
Bored over Christmas? Lets match-make you to your Crypto/Web 3 doppelganger 🕸
Don't let the impending restrictions halt your ability to network and learn from others. Following our inaugural Zash social last week, we're hoping to continue the trend by trialling online networking for blockchain. Whilst we are now likely entering another lockdown, we aim to keep the networking spirit alive by pivoting to digital match-making and networking.
Register to be paired up with interesting individuals and embed yourself deeper in the Web3 community. We'll then match you up with a corresponding community member and leave the rest to you.
Registrations are a precursor to potentially more frequent online match-making and exclusive Zash events in 2022.

Web3 Insight 🌐
Although a well-known supporter of Bitcoin, former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey made clear his thoughts on Web3, arguing that regular users don’t actually own Web3 projects, but instead venture capitalists and their investors do. Elon Musk even got in involved, asking if anyone has seen Web3, to which Jack Dorsey responded with a to reference a16z, a venture capital firm with a heavy involvement in Web3 project funding. In case you missed it, here’s the thread of tweets we’re talking about 👇
We can’t think of a better way to flex than to share your new NFT purchase on Instagram! Instagram is working on bringing NFT’s to a wider audience, as its parent Meta goes all-in on the Metaverse.
Elsewhere, Bill Gates predicts our work meetings will move to the Metaverse in the next few years. Would you fancy working in virtual reality?
In other news, what were you doing age 12? Probably not minting NFT’s right? Well this 12 year old from London has made £290,000 during the school holidays, after creating his own NFT collection! Watch him speech at Pembroke College here.
Matrix is out this week and we are very curious to watch it. If you want to geek out on the open world game & Unreal Engine 5 check out the clip here.
Parit, our CEO has written a blog post about the experience of buying one of the NFTs a few weeks ago. If you are in the NFT game, as a trader or collector he’d love to hear from you (telegram: @paritzash).
